Founded by the Fila brothers in 1911, FILA is an Italian footwear brand known for its sportswear and sneakers. Originally the brand utilised fabrics that combined luxury, art and utility, drawing inspiration from Italy to create products as exquisitely textured and evocative as the Italian landscape.
In 2007, the company was sold to HeungKee Kim and is now owned and operated from South Korea. In May 2011, Fila Korea Ltd. acquired global golf equipment maker Acushnet Company, becoming the new owner of leading golf brands such as Titleist.
The brand has been enjoying a high fashion resurgence recently thanks to the explosion of the logomania trend and a high-profile tie-up with Fendi.
