Misha Nonoo is a UK based fashion designer. Her multicultural upbringing exposed her to a diverse collection of references, showcasing a unique outlook for the modern, multifaceted woman through the development of a “capsule wardrobe” in her work. From the very start, Nonoo adopted the direct-to-consumer model, which increases transparency, lowers pricing and promotes sustainability by reducing waste.
The British womenswear designer, Nonoo was a finalist for the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and was also named one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 in 2015. In line with current social trends, Nonoo gained exposure when she became the first fashion designer to debut a runway collection on Instagram.
The designer is also recognised for her close friendship with Meghan Markle and also being responsible for one of Meghan Markle's most iconic looks to date. Nonoo designed the white "Husband" shirt Markle wore for her first public appearance with Harry at the Invictus Games last year.
This designer is known for her commitment to empowering women through a capsule wardrobe. Nonoo’s concept is to design a capsule wardrobe consisting of eight pieces, the 'Easy 8' can be styled in 22 plus ways, for many different occasions. Ninoo describes her capsule collections as a foundational wardrobe which has essentials every women needs.
