Established in 1980 by its eponymous director, Carolina Herrera is a luxury fashion house. The Venezuelan fashion designer is famous for having an impeccable style and for dressing various First Ladies, including Laura Bush and Michelle Obama. In 2017, François Kress stepped down as CEO of the company and was quickly succeeded by Emilie Rubinfeld, which joined the fashion house in 2012 as VP, Global Marketing and Communications.
In the late 1980s, Herrera started developing her fragrance line which, in 2016, had more than 25,000 points of sale across the globe. In 2018 Herrera showed her last line before handing the creative directorship of the brand to Wes Gordon.
