Jaeger is a British fashion brand and retailer of menswear and womenswear, founded in 1884. Jaeger was established by British businessman Lewis Tomalin as 'Dr Jaeger's Sanitary Woollen System Co Ltd', capitalising on a craze for wool-jersey long johns inspired by the theories of German scientist Dr Gustav Jaeger.
In 2011, the brand was commissioned to create uniforms for staff at Kensington Palace as part of its £12m refurbishment. The brand fell into administration in November 2020, later being acquired by Marks and Spencer in January 2021.
