Jane Davidson, an iconic fashion destination in Edinburgh, had been setting trends since its establishment. With a rich heritage spanning decades, this boutique offered a finely curated selection of luxury and contemporary clothing, catering to the city's style-conscious clientele.
It originally sold only British brands such as Jean Muir, Ozzie Clark, and Jean Varon, and was decorated in the style of a smart French salon. It quickly established a loyal customer base and in 1985 relocated to Thistle Street where it has grown steadily, expanding into all four floors of its Georgian townhouse. The business closed its doors in December 2022.
