The LVMH group consists of 75 exceptional houses that create high quality products. The Paris-based luxury conglomerate is the only group which presents all five major sectors of the luxury market: Wines & Spirits, Fashion & Leather Goods, Perfumes & Cosmetics, Watches & Jewellery and Selective Retailing.
LVMH currently employs 156,000 people across the world and reported sales of 46.8 billion euros in 2018. Also in July 2018 shares in LVMH rose by almost 2% as the Paris-based luxury conglomerate reported an “excellent” first half of trading with revenues up 10% €21.8bn.
In the second quarter, revenue increased by 11% compared to the same period of 2017, a performance which the group said was in line with the trends of the beginning of the year. Profit from recurring operations was up 28% at €4,648m while operating margin reached 21.4%, an increase of 2.9 percentage points.
Most recently LVMH launched the FENTY clothing collection as a result of a highly successful collaboration between Rihanna and the luxury conglomerate on FENTY Beauty. FENTY, the new luxury label from LVMH and music and style icon Rihanna, made its global online debut in May and in a pop-up in Paris. The label will operate from a global digital flagship store with “ephemeral” boutiques used to support its “See-Now-Wear-Now” product releases, which will include special-edition pieces, available for limited timeframes, along with core items.
