In the East, Westfield Stratford City was the first piece of the Olympic legacy and will continue to play an important regeneration role as the area continues to be transformed with the reopening of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and further residential and office investments.
Westfield Stratford City is a metropolitan capital for East London, a city within a city, an innovative and dynamic place for a new generation of consumer to shop, to eat, to meet, to be entertained and to stay.
Footfall at Westfield’s East and West London super malls, in Stratford and White City, was up 11% over the Christmas trading period.
The malls racked up a combined 16.5m visitors from the start of November to the end of December and experienced their busiest ever Black Friday weekend with a 7% rise in visitors to 910,000. They also had their busiest ever Boxing Day with footfall up 9% to 350,000.
