In Pictures: Primark opens upsized store at Westfield Stratford
Primark has opened the doors to its upsized store at Westfield Stratford City, which, at 82,400 sq ft over four floors, is now almost double the size of its original two-story unit.
Now one of Primark’s largest UK stores, and the second largest in London, the revamped space – which now offers the option of self-service checkouts alongside manned tills - is carrying an even broader range of the retailer’s womenswear, menswear, kidswear, home and beauty lines.
This includes Primark’s latest collaboration with Rita Ora, the more premium The Edit range, and the full range of the new collection of band t-shirts - "just in time for festival season".
Conveniently, customers can use Primark’s online stock checker to check availability of specific styles before heading in-store, and there is also a Click + Collect service for customers across womenswear and kidswear, which is part of a nationwide trial.

The new store extension forms part of an £100 million investment Primark is making into its stores this year, as it celebrates 50 years on the high streets of Britain.
The Primark store at Westfield Stratford first opened in September 2011, and was the retailer’s 139th store in the UK.
It now has 193 stores across the UK, and 441 stores worldwide, working towards a goal of 530 stores by the end of 2026.
As part of the investment in the new Westfield Stratford store, 250 new colleagues are joining the team, bringing the total number working in the store "around the clock" to 730.
