House of Mua Mua

Description:

House of Mua Mua brand consists of hand-knitted dolls, accessories and ready-to-wear apparel, created in Bali by its designer Ludovica Virga.

Founder and designer Ludovica decided to create crocheted dolls made by the island's craftsman who were left without work after the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004. The brand became a remarkable successful in 2009 during a Chanel fashion show in Venice where the designer met Karl Lagerfeld and gifted him a MuaMua doll with the features of the Kaiser of fashion. Since this point the brand began collaborating with Karl Lagerfeld and in 2012 was commissioned over 500 dolls to be sold in Lagerfeld shops.

The brand rapidly grew and MuaMua dolls became recognised by many consumers within the fashion world. The label has now also ventured into ready to wear apparel and accessories.
