Step into the world of Marc Jacobs at its Covent Garden pop-up

Following Marc Jacobs' viral pop-up, which took the form of an inflatable tote bag in the city streets of New York, the brand is bringing its resort collection to London at its first-ever UK pop-up store encased in an immersive mirrored box.

The new campaign, which features Kim Kardashian, will be plastered on the walls at Covent Garden’s underground station. Meanwhile, an impossible-to-miss nine-foot silver tote bag swing signposts the pop-up.

Marc Jacobs confessed, "shiny is my favourite colour", which reflects the high-octane pop-up. Here, customers can shop for holiday gifts from leather accessories to more-is-more jewellery.

Inside the mirrored pop-up bedazzled mannequins, dressed in kiki boots and corsets, showcase the resort collection. The crystal canvas mini tote bag, as well as the tote bag and wallet in seasonal colours, are available exclusively at the pop-up.  Meanwhile, the ready-to-wear collection is available to shop at the Marc Jacobs flagship on Regent Street.

Not only is the pop-up a shopping opportunity, but at the rear, an entirely mirrored area is home to a photo opportunity.

The pop-up is live from 8 November until 3 December at the iconic East Piazza, Covent Garden. What's more, fans of the American brand can immersive themselves in a 3D installation at Tottenham Court Road station.

Katie Peake, Creative Director & Founder at Backlash commented: "We have created a highly disruptive 'hi-shine' mirrored pop-up that gives the illusion of hovering above the ground in the darker hours of each morning and afternoon. Staying true to the campaign and the resort collection we stripped back the materials to solely focus on 'hi-shine' finishes perfectly complemented with light."

This follows the news that the dream team, Dr. Martens and Marc Jacobs, reunited to create a pair of boots that "transverse the age" in September. The kinship, which dates back to the 90s, saw collaborations of the past reach sell-out stardom.
