Monsoon Children reveals revamped design direction inspired by kids drawings

Monsoon stores have been cropping up on highstreets with a revamped offering in recent months, but it's now turning its focus to its childrenswear collection presenting a "bold new direction for AW23 and beyond".

1973-founded Monsoon has recently begun to spread its brick-and-mortar offering far and wide across the UK, with new stores in Bath, London, Edinburgh and beyond. Now, after unveiling its first-ever dedicated children's boutique in Westfield Stratford in March, the retailer is introducing a new childrenswear direction.

Monsoon Children has unveiled its Autumn Winter collections, with the mission statement: ‘Creative. Curious. Designed by Kids’.

The collection sets out to introduce littlens to a slew of new characters and motifs inspired by children’s drawings. Each character, including an alien on a skateboard, was developed by Monsoon Children’s design team after hosting a creative workshop with children between the ages of 3-13.

The boys and girls range includes jumpsuits, co-ords, beanie hats, sweaters, skirts and dresses in bold colours. This will be available in selected stores (Stratford, Dundrum, White City, Bluewater, Birmingham, Edinburgh and 21 international stores) from 21 August.

In celebration of the launch, staff will host small in-store giveaways with goody bags, stickers and keyrings. What's more, the children's flagship in Westfield Stratford will be holding an in-store activation with plenty of entertainment for customers.

The new design direction will sit alongside other lines including Land of Wonder, flower girl and page boy, back to school, partywear and the holiday shop.
