The Metrocentre in Gateshead has announced the return of its 'Fashion & Beauty Takeover' on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April, hosted by TV fashion stylist Mark Heyes.

The event will take place in the shopping centre's Town Square and promises to be packed full of live dance and fashion shows, interactive beauty demos, and masterclasses.

As part of this, 'Mark’s Style Solutions' will see Heyes talk through his favourite pieces that Metrocentre has to offer for the season, offering inspiration for summer wardrobes and advice on which pieces to invest in this Spring/Summer season.

Visitors are also encouraged to browse through the beauty area, where the Metrocentre’s retailers will be offering complimentary beauty treatments, expert advice, and masterclasses.

With brands such as ZARA, NEXT, JD Sports and H Beauty, the event is described as a "one stop shop to get all the beauty and fashion inspiration you need before your next holiday".

It comes as the Metrocentre continues to bolster its retail offer, welcoming brands such as Sports Direct, Flannels and ZARA within the past year, as well as plans to open Victoria's Secret and Sephora at the North East destination later this year.

Helen Atkinson, Metrocentre Marketing Manager said: "This is one of the biggest events in our calendar and a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the ever-growing range of fashion and beauty brands available in centre. Due to the variety of stores participating this really is an event for everyone looking for some inspiration to update their wardrobes or beauty regimes.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mark Heyes back to host the shows and share his expertise with his popular Style Solutions presentations, taking us through the latest trends and giving his tips and tricks on how to style them."

Listen to TheIndustry.fashion's podcast with Mark Heyes. Heyes discusses his extensive styling career, his work with Freemans and how he helps "make women feel confident".
