In Pictures: Versace presents a monochrome marvel at The Selfridges Corner Shop

Say goodbye to Charlotte Tilbury x Disney and hello to Versace as the Italian luxury label takes over The Selfridges Corner Shop.

As of today, Versace has taken residency at The Selfridges Corner Shop at the department store’s flagship location on London’s Oxford Street.

Surprisingly, Versace’s yellow and Medusa monogram is nowhere to be seen, in fact, the maximalist brand keeps things fairly simple. The black and white checkered back drop allows sees the iconic silhouettes of Versace pop against the two-toned colour scheme.

Monochrome tailored suits are featured at the centre of the pop-up. Staying true to this season's Barbiecore trend, Versace includes a Barbie-worthy suit in the mix, adding a pop of colour to a sea of black ensembles.

Showcasing the Women’s Fall Winter 2023 collection, a boned corset sits at the heart of each silhoueete. Wether sculpted into an evening dress, precision cut tailored jackets or an updated version of a tank top, the corset gives the wearer Versace’s iconic hourglass silhouette.

Ditching its Medusa and Baroque prints this season, the Greca logo is front and centre, especially where accessories are concerned.

The collection, which debuted on the runway in Los Angeles, California earlier this year, references ‘the energy, glamour and power of Hollywood’. Something Creative Director, Donatella Versace, as all too well familiar with.

Earlier this year, Elton John took helm at The Selfridges Corner Shop, transforming the creative retail space into a glittering representation of the singer's world.

Running from 20 March-15 April, the bespoke installation is home to a range of iconic archive costumes from the musicians career, an Elton x Selfridges tour merchandise collection, Elton John Eyewear and a series of newly-created collections.
