In Pictures: ARKET brings Nordic fashion to London’s Selfridges
ARKET's Nordic fashion and lifestyle has landed at Selfridges London, with the H&M Group-owned brand's first-ever concession store.
The new shop-in-shop, located on the department store’s third floor, showcases a curated selection of ARKET’s womenswear collection.
The 83 square metre space reflects the “Nordic modernist movement of the 20th century”, combining the brand’s signature monochrome palette with custom-made tables in its signature terrazzo stone. The lounge area includes restored pieces from a collaboration with Artek 2nd cycle, the platform for pre-loved Artek lighting, furniture and other everyday objects.
The opening is a continuation of the brand’s presence in the UK, where it currently has four stand-alone stores.
Pernilla Wohlfahrt, Managing Director at ARKET, commented: “Since the launch of ARKET in London in 2017, with our first stores on Regent Street and in Covent Garden, the city holds a very special place in our hearts. We are honoured to partner with such an iconic London institution as Selfridges and look forward to inviting our local customers to a new ARKET experience.”
This follows last week's news that the brand opened ARKET ARCHIVE, a new resale destination for its pre-loved designs.
The platform houses second-hand ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and childrenswear from ARKET. As well as shopping the platform, customers will also be invited to list their second-hand products and earn cash or a voucher for their next ARKET online purchase.
