ARKET launches ARKET ARCHIVE resale destination for pre-loved designs
ARKET will open ARKET ARCHIVE, a new resale destination for its pre-loved designs, on 23 November.
The platform will house second-hand ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and childrenswear from ARKET. As well as shopping the platform, customers will also be invited to list their second-hand products and earn cash or a voucher for their next ARKET online purchase.
The initiative comes as an extension of ARKET’s vision to offer functional essentials designed to be used and loved for a long time, the brand said.
"We want to encourage a circular mindset and serve members of our community, for whom buying second-hand comes as naturally as buying new. We design our collections for a long life, so offering a resale platform exclusive for ARKET items makes perfect sense to us. With ARKET ARCHIVE, we hope to integrate resale as a natural part of our customer experience," commented Ville Klemming, ARKET Head of Growth & Sustainability.
The new platform is launched in partnership with Archive, a leading technology platform for branded resale, and will first go live in the UK and Sweden at ARKET.com.
Part of the H&M Group, ARKET offers collections for men, women, children and home, as well as its New Nordic vegetarian café. It operates 28 stores across Europe, including a flagship in London's Regent Street, which was opened in 2017.
