Gap to stage Soho pop-up to celebrate 50 Years of Denim

Global fashion giant Gap will be staging a pop-up in London's Soho throughout September to celebrate 50 Years of Denim.

The store will be located at 52 Brewer Street and will sell the limited edition 1969 Premium Denim and Denim Through the Decades collections.

Customers will be able to personalise their denim using services such as denim tattooing, hemming, distressing and more. The store will be open 10am-7pm throughout the month of September.

Gap was founded in San Francisco in 1969 by Don and Doris Fisher. Its name came from the difference between children and their parents, called "the generation gap", which reached its peak with the hippie movement during this period. Originally, the company sold denim and records, but soon expanded its offering went on to become one of the world's biggest fashion retailers.
