Global sportswear giant Adidas has today announced the launch of the second chapter of its career development programme, dubbed ‘The Originals Creator Network’.

Following the success of its inaugural year, the latest scheme takes the form of an educational development programme for emerging young creatives in London. It aims to provide in-person and virtual guidance to young creatives through workshops led by industry experts and mentors. What's more, a select few participants will receive commissions to work on live Originals projects.

This year’s initiative will be split into two projects - which focus on media, design and production - each spanning five months.

The Originals Creator Network was founded in 2022, in partnership with youth-led digital media platform GUAP,  to become a "positive catalyst for the journey of the next generation of talent".

Chris Walsh, VP Brand of Adidas North Europe, said: "We are delighted to launch the second chapter of The Originals Creator Network in partnership with GUAP. adidas are passionate about supporting young talent with career development opportunities and this initiative underlines our commitment to providing unique learning experiences that can positively impact their future career paths."

The online application for The Originals Creator Network process is now open and will be live until 25th June, with the course commencing from July 2023.

Elsie Ayotunde Cullen, Community Programmes Manager of GUAP, added: "It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Adidas over the last few years to deliver The Originals Creator Network. After seeing the monumental impact the programme had on the personal and professional development of our young participants, we’re really excited about launching year two and working with another cohort of diverse emerging talent."
