Women’s activewear brand Sweaty Betty has appointed Melissa Mullen as its new Global Brand President.

Mullen brings experience from various senior executive roles with global fashion, athletic and footwear brands.

Most recently, she served as Vice President and General Manager UK&I for Jo Malone London. In this role, she was responsible for commercial operations, including stores, e-commerce and wholesale.

Prior to this, Mullen worked at Nike for over eight years in a variety of e-commerce and merchandising roles across Europe, Asia and North America. This includes Senior Director of Nike Direct Retail UK&I, as well as Senior Director of Nike.com Global Expansion.

As Global Brand President of Sweaty Betty, Mullen will work to closely align the brand with owner Wolverine Worldwide’s other international businesses and enable teams to leverage strengths and resources across functions.

She succeeds Julia Straus, who previously announced her return to the US with her family.

Isabel Soriano, President of Wolverine Worldwide’s London-based International Group, said: “Melissa’s proven track record with consumer-obsessed global athletic and fashion brands makes her the ideal leader to help propel Sweaty Betty forward, and I’m extremely excited to welcome her as its next Global Brand President.

“Her deep omnichannel experience and industry knowledge will help position the brand for long-term success.”
