Stella McCartney hands over store space to #StellaCommunity to mark reopening

12 April 2021

Stella McCartney's Bond Street store will play host to a series of pop-ups from the #StellaCommunity over the coming weeks to mark the return of non-essential retail across England.

The flagship store has handed over space to local businesses, such as Richmond-based floral studio FLWR, coffee from Fairtrade and sustainably sourced Hackney coffee roasters Climpson & Sons, as well as food by Notting Hill’s Farmacy .

In addition the store will be offering by appointment beauty treatments by Dr Barbara Sturm and Face Gym among others.

The move has been designed to enable the brands to "connect, collaborate and create" and makes the start of a new global roll out – that sees Stella McCartney stores around the world become a hub for the #StellaCommunity.

#StellaTalks will also be staged and live-streamed on the brand's Instagram page with guest including Alice Eady of Earthrise while music playlists have been curated by friends of the brand, including Sean Lennon, Nenah Cherry and Grimes.

Meanwhile in keeping with the luxury brand's sustainable ethos the reopening windows feature a neon art installation recycled from past windows and pop-ups.

The Stella McCartney flagship on Bond Street was opened in June 2018, replacing a previous store on Mayfair's Bruton Street.
