River Island appoints two Co-Managing Directors

River Island has appointed Jane Eskriett and Richard Grainger as its new Co-Managing Directors.

Eskriett joins River Island from Boohoo Group, where she served as Managing Director of Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis and Warehouse since May 2021.

Meanwhile, Grainger joins from his role as Managing Director of NEXT for Europe and North Africa Sourcing.

The duo join River Island following CEO Will Kernan’s departure earlier this year. It was announced earlier this week that Kernan will now join the John Lewis Partnership's board.

In addition to the appointments of Eskriett and Grainger as Co-Managing Directors, Kirsty Homer has been named as the brand's new Chief People Officer.

Homer has served as Group Human Resources Director at Howdens since September 2020. Before this, she was Global People & Governance Director at Mothercare.

In a statement on LinkedIn, River Island said: "We are very excited at the future prospects for our brand and our journey ahead."
