Primark hires Topshop's Global Sourcing Director as Trading Director

Primark has announced the appointment of Topshop's Global Sourcing Director, Jon Bennett, as its new Trading Director for Menswear.

Bennett has held roles at Arcadia Group since 2012, most recently being appointed Global Sourcing Director in 2017. Prior to working at Arcadia, he held various senior buying roles at Tesco’s F&F, River Island and Next.

He is due to join Primark before the new year.

A Primark spokesperson told TheIndustry.fashion: “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Jon Bennett, who will join the business as Trading Director for Menswear. Jon brings extensive buying, sourcing and digital expertise having been with the Arcadia Group since 2012.

“We are also delighted to confirm the appointment of Lynne Walker to a new role as Director of Primark Cares, having held previous roles at Primark as Director of Buying and Trading Director for Menswear. In her new role, Lynne will lead our Primark Cares strategy and oversee its successful development.

“Lynne will take up her new role with immediate effect and Jon will join us in the coming months. We look forward to working with them in their new roles and welcoming Jon to the business.”
