Nike rolls out digitally innovative concept store to Trinity Leeds

Nike has been churning out concept stores over the past few years, transforming the experiential retail space. The latest addition? Nike Rise will be joining Trinity Leeds next year.

The 10,000 sq ft Nike Rise store, which is fitted with technological advancements throughout, is expected to open its doors in 2024. The concept aims to enhance shopping experiences through innovative digital experiences and empower athletes to make sport a daily habit.

One of the new updates in store is 'Nike by You', which allows shoppers to personalise new Nike products and a bra and leggings destination, helping female athletes find their right fit.

Westfield London was the first Nike location in EMEA to launch the concept back in July 2022.  The store is fitted with the proprietary digital platform Sport Pulse, which enables real-time responsive and localised sport stories.

Nik Porter, Head of Brand Account Management at Landsec, commented: "Guests are looking for more from their shopping experience and are seeking out concepts which combine convenience with the opportunity to try something new.

"Brands are increasingly prioritising prime locations that drive footfall, enable customer service and have an ability to integrate in-store and online shopping experiences. The Nike Rise concept encapsulates this and, with more international brands investing in Leeds, the new store will only enhance the city’s retail offer further."

Nike joins a whole host of international brands, including Zara, which have taken new space in Trinity Leeds. Brands such as Mango are also upsizing existing units as the shopping centre aims to prioritise "fewer, bigger, better stores".
