M&S, SOOK and True among speakers at TheIndustry.fashion LIVE!

Marks & Spencer, connected pop-up specialist SOOK and retail and technology investor True are among the speakers at the next edition of TheIndustry.fashion LIVE! on 17 October.

This one-day event is free to attend for fashion industry professionals and will cover the theme of The Connected Store with panel discussion and presentations investigating the evolving and increasingly important role of the physical store in an omnichannel world.

The event kicks off with a presentation and discussion with David Blakeney, the retail development director at SOOK, which operates a number of digitally connected spaces across the country to enable brands and retailers to experiment with physical-meets-digital activations and pop-ups. A former director of House of Frasers, Blakeney will discuss how to create "hyper-relevant consumer connections through in-real-life experiences at the intersection of physical and digital".

After this retail and technology investor True's Liam Buswell will host a panel discussion with Andy Redman, Senior Head of Product for Store Operations at Marks & Spencer, and Cameron Worth, CEO & Co-founder of Internet of Things studio Sharpend. The group will discuss Advancing Connected Stores through Collaboration and Technology.

Following a complimentary lunch, global logistics experts Bleckmann will discuss The Power of Omnichannel for Brands' Global Expansion and the event will wrap up with Aptos General Manager of Europe and APAC discussing The State of Unified Commerce.

Supported by Bleckmann, True and Aptos, the event takes place at True's headquarters at Buckingham Gate, London on 17 October from 11am to 4.30pm. Complimentary lunch refreshments, lunch and post-event cocktails will be served throughout the day.
