Nike has appointed the former The North Face Global Creative, Tim Hamilton, as its new Global Vice President of Design.

Hamilton broke the news on LinkedIn, writing: "After 5+ years of leading global creative at The North Face, I am thrilled to announce my next chapter at NIKE! It is an honour to join such an innovative and inspiring team. Looking forward to what's to come!"

Hamilton joined The North Face in 2017 and took the helm as one of its leading creatives until March 2024. Before this, his illustrious career saw him design for several all-American brands including Polo Ralph Lauren, Gap Inc., J.Crew and Madewell.

The American designer is known for his 'minimalist sportswear'. In 2007, he launched his eponymous label Tim Hamilton Redux, which sees a mix of subcultural influences and abstract artistry come together.

Hamilton was also the first American showcased at Paris's prestigious Chambre Syndicale, which led to collaborations with the likes of Uniqlo and Topshop.

In his new role at Nike, Hamilton aims to "redefine the future of product design with his signature blend of innovation, athleticism, and purpose-driven design, embodying the very essence of transformation and leadership in the global fashion landscape".
