Netflix has launched Netflix.shop to enable viewers to shop exclusive drops of fashion and lifestyle products connected to their favourite shows.

The shopping experience has been launched in the US this week and will be extended to other markets around the world in the coming months.

Among the items debuting on the platform this month are streetwear and action figures based on anime series Yasuke and Eden, as well as limited-edition apparel and decorative items inspired by Lupin in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre.

Netflix has said that in common with its shows the shop will have a focus on shining a spotlight on new voices with up-and-coming designers Nathalie Nguyen, Kristopher Kites and Jordan Bentley all producing anime-inspired collectibles for the shop's launch.

Coming soon on the shop are items inspire by much love Nextflix shows such as The Witcher and Stranger Things, as well as new Netflix logo-wear from Japanese fashion house BEAMS.

These limited edition items are an extension of Netflix's partnerships with third party retailers. A wide range of Yasuke products are available at US retail giant Target, for instance.

"We’re thrilled to give fans a new way to connect with their favorite stories, and to introduce them to the next wave of artists and designers who embrace the power of storytelling in all its forms," said Netflix of the launch.
