MCM and Crocs reunite for a second collaboration

German luxury fashion house, MCM (Modern Creation München), adds to its ever-growing list of collaborations by joining forces with cult-favourite footwear brand, Crocs, for a Spring / Summer 2023 collection.

The collaboration sees the classic clog reimagined in two new covetable colourways. This comes after last year’s Crocs x MCM collaboration, which featured a striking neon design sporting a playful bulldog motif in yellow and black.

The latest drop combines MCM’s heritage in ‘travel, craftsmanship and design’ – note the miniature monogram belt bags that adorn each shoe. Meanwhile Crocs’ vision for ‘innovation, fun and comfort’ doesn’t go amiss.

Inspired by MCM’s archival Belt Bag silhouette, the mini accessory is crafted in the brand’s black & white Visetos monogram and features a 3-in-1 interchangeable design, which can be detached and worn as a fashion accessory.

Referencing the luxury brand’s upcoming collection palette, the shoes are rendered in white and lime green as well as earth tones khaki and black.

In true Crocs style, each shoe can be customised with JibbitzTM charms to reflect the personality of the wearer. The charms nod to heritage house codes, from laurels and Bavarian diamonds to brass plates and MCM lettering.
