Lucy & Yak to open 7th UK store in Cardiff as retail roll-out continues

Conscious clothing brand Lucy & Yak is opening its seventh UK store at 33 Royal Arcade, Unit A1 Morgan Quarter, Cardiff, on 30 September, as its retail roll-out pushes on.

The launch follows the opening of a Lucy & Yak store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter in July 2023, and adds to its existing stores in Nottingham and Cambridge – which both opened last February, as well as stores in Bristol and Norwich, which opened in September and November 2022 respectively. Founded in 2017, the first Lucy & Yak store opened in its home town of Brighton in 2019.

It was also reported this summer that there are plans for further Lucy & Yak stores in Liverpool and Exeter this year, though further details have not yet been confirmed.

The new Cardiff store will also act as another Re:Yak Hub, providing a space for the multiple initiatives for recycling and upcycling "that enable the Yak community to easily give their pieces the longest life possible, or recycle it at the end of its life".

"We can’t wait to see how pieces are reworked and re-worn through our Re:Yak workshops, and to meet the other local independent creatives who we can platform as part of our makers markets."

The brand, best known for its colourful, comfortable and sustainably made pieces, "will be adding a pop of pink to the historic Victorian arcades at the heart of the city".
