Longchamp opens pop-up at Harrods with exclusive bags and RTW capsule

Longchamp has opened a new pop-up at Harrods in Knightsbridge, featuring exclusive bags and a ready-to-wear capsule collection for SS24, set to run until 25 January 2024.

The Paris-based brand, which was founded in 1948 and is best known for its luxury leather goods, has transformed Harrods’ Crescent Windows space - beside door six on the ground floor - with a floor-to-ceiling design in its striking vert lumière colour.

The design concept of the pop-up includes vintage-style furniture, traditional Haussmann-style mouldings and decorative household ‘objets’.

The Longchamp x Harrods exclusives include 10 pieces of the ‘Epure Mini Bucket’ bag and 25 pieces of the ‘Le Pilage XS’ bag – both in the brand’s distinctive vert lumière colour.

Alongside Longchamp’s handbags and accessories, comes the ready-to-wear capsule collection – a first for Harrods - specially selected by the brand’s Creative Director, Sophie Delafontaine.

A key print of the season features a dynamic all-over racehorse rider motif on denim, and there’s a daisy emblem both embroidered and as a crochet appliqué across bags and ready-to-wear.

Within the ready-to-wear, bag and accessory offerings, in contrast with the monochromatic vert lumière setting, warm shades of orange and yellow, as well as hues of khaki, white, grey and black, stand out.

Hector Cassegrain, Longchamp Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, said: "We are delighted to elevate Longchamp’s relationship with long-term partner Harrods to the next level in 2024 with an exclusive pop-up concept and special edition bags.

"It is a brilliant opportunity to bring our Parisian creative vision and brand identity to the global city of London."
