In Pictures: Reiss opens new store at Centre:MK in Milton Keynes

Premium fashion brand Reiss has now opened its new 1,884 sq ft store at the Centre:MK shopping centre in Milton Keynes.

Located in the centre’s premium brand focused Silbury Arcade, the new store was co-designed by Reiss Creative Director James Spreckley and D-Raw Architects with a “sustainably-minded approach” to materials, and is fitted out with a minimalistic interior of bleached wood and metallic features.

It is carrying Reiss’ current selection of menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and accessories.

Kevin Duffy, Centre:MK’s Centre Director, said: “Reiss’ decision to launch a key regional store at Centre:MK reflects our reputation as a dominant destination in the UK.”

On Friday 1 September, NEXT and the Reiss family bought out private equity firm Warburg Princus’ 34% interest in Reiss for £128m, increasing NEXT’s stake in the business from 51% to 72%.

The deal is expected to finalise in mid-October 2023, and it will also mean the Reiss family’s holding will increase to 22% and the Reiss management team will hold 6% equity in the business.

It follows a period of strong continued growth for Reiss. In the year to 28 January 2023, Reiss achieved total sales of £324.6m, an increase of 26.4% on the previous year. Profit before tax in the same period was £51.6m, an increase of 50.5% on the prior year.

The new Reiss store at Centre:MK follows the early August opening of a new Mango 4,693 sq ft flagship store at the centre.
