In Pictures: Jigsaw opens first story-telling concept store in Islington
Jigsaw has opened the doors to a vibrant new retail concept in Islington where it will tell different stories via curated collections throughout the season.
The pop-up concept is located on the popular Upper Street and covers 860 sqm of retail space. It is the first time the premium British brand has opened a concept store.
An bright orange fascia adorns the store and the first collection to be housed in the space is High Summer, which promises to take customers on a journey through the Mediterranean.
The collection includes an array of linen pieces, beachwear, raffia bags and summer accessories and sunglasses, alongside limited edition illustrations by Jousianne Propp, all set against a beach-inspired backdrop.
Jigsaw plans to transform the space accordingly to align with the product story being showcased within the pop-up – and will only use upcycled fixtures and recycled furniture.
The opening follows on from a spate of new permanent stores in locations such as Kingston upon Thames, Battersea Power Station and St Pancras. Its new, permanent stores are designed to combine the feel of a boutique and showroom and have a distinct mid-20th Century design vibe and the retailer will often used upcycled and recycled fixtures and furniture.
