In Pictures: Jigsaw opens new store in Kingston upon Thames

Jigsaw has opened the doors to its new location in Kingston upon Thames in South West London in the heart of town centre in Market Square.

The British fashion retailer, which was founded 53 years ago in nearby Kew, previously occupied a store in a different location in the town but the new site places it at the centre of the shopping action with near neighbours including Sweaty Betty and Whistles.

In common with other recent openings for Jigsaw, such as at Battersea Power Station, the new store has been given a distinct boutique meets showroom feel by AMD Architects with mid-20th Century furniture throughout from Anna Unwin, along with textiles and soft furnishings from interior designer Abigail Ahern and Scandinavian rugs from Nordic Knots.

Vicki Baker, Head of Retail at Jigsaw said: "A Jigsaw store in Kingston feels like Jigsaw returning to its heartland so we are excited to be returning to such an important town and market for us. The new store on Market Square has been transformed and refreshed to reflect the buildings architecture.

"Works include a wooden floor, neutral leather paint tones and a mix of modern and vintage furniture. We feel we have created a clean environment to showcase the best of our new collection - tall ceilings and an impressive shop front leading out on to the market place, a wonderful new environment to come and shop with us in.
