In Pictures: Harrods Outlet opens in Westfield London

Today, 3 July, Harrods opened its doors to the public in Westfield London with a new outlet premises, designed to allow shoppers to maintain social distancing easily.

The concept store is constructed to retail remaining stock from the existing season. This edit, including womenswear, menswear, beauty, accessories, childrenswear and home, has been curated from the Harrods sale, which continues to be hosted online.

The 80,000 sq. foot concept store occupies a premium space set over two floors, creating a unique luxury shopping experience for visitors to the West London destination.

Designed prior to the move to one metre plus social distancing measures, the concept store is designed to allow more space for customers shopping the Harrods sale, enabling a wider product selection of new-season product in the Knightsbridge store.

100 headline fashion and accessory brands and 120,000 units of premium product at Harrods Outlet, including brands such as Balmain, Stella McCartney and Chloe in womenswear and Off-White, Rick Owens, and Thom Browne in menswear.

Beauty enthusiasts can also find an edit of some of the most sought-after beauty and makeup must-haves from brands such as Estee Lauder, Gucci Beauty, Chantecaille and Shiseido.

Lydia King, Fashion Director at Harrods, said: “It’s important that our customers are treated to the renowned Harrods experience whilst shopping at Harrods Outlet, and this comes from the strength of the edits available in the new concept store.

"We are known for providing the ultimate in luxury, and the Outlet offering will be no different.”

Jacinta Rowsell, General Manager at Westfield London, added: “The highly anticipated launch of Harrods Outlet at Westfield London is causing quite a stir with our customers who will soon have the chance to experience a slice of the world-renowned Harrods store in West London."

A limited number of fitting rooms are available at Harrods Outlet, designed to allow the highest levels of sanitation and to accommodate social distancing.

All customers will be asked to sanitise their hands prior to using the fitting rooms and each fitting room will be cleaned between customer use. Any items tried on but not purchased will be quarantined for 48 hours, as per industry guidelines.

Social distancing within the store will be maintained with customer counting technology in place at the entrances. The store can accommodate 365 customers at each time, if this should be exceeded, Harrods has confirmed a line will be controlled outside the entrance with security present.

Harrods Outlet allows the Harrods business to adapt to changing circumstances and grow in challenging times.
