Farfetch appoints former Amazon chief as CFO

Farfetch has appointed Tim Stone as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 September 2023.

Stone will succeed Elliot Jordan, who will leave the company on 31 August 2023.

With marketplace and technology experience, Stone has spent over 20 years in senior finance roles at Amazon, including CFO for its AWS, Devices and Digital Content businesses.

He also previously served as CFO of Snap Inc and Ford Motor Company, as well as COO and CFO at ASAPP.

Commenting on the appointment, Stone said: "This is a wonderful time to be joining Farfetch.

"The company is successfully leading the digitisation of the luxury fashion industry, putting it at the heart of a long-term, global growth market.

"With a focus on our customers and industry partners, profitable growth, and operational execution, we are well positioned to drive free cash flow generation."
