eBay UK launches Sneaker Academy for budding entrepreneurs with Hatch Enterprise
Ebay UK is partnering with entrepreneur development organisation Hatch Enterprise to launch a Sneaker Academy, helping your people develop a business out of their passion for sneakers and reselling.
The free 14-week programme for 18-30 year-olds will run from 17 May – 14 August 2023, though the application deadline ends today, 3 April.
With hands-on training and guidance from eBay experts and “master sneakerheads”, alongside support in building a business and financial assistance, the programme is setting out to help young sneakerheads tap into the $3.66bn a year UK pre-loved sneaker market and “turn a side-hustle into an income generating online business.”
The programme includes:
- Access to eBay’s sneaker team to gain category insights and knowledge
- Specialist support from Hatch on business topics including marketing, finance and legal
- Access to eBay’s marketing tools to optimise products and see real-time results
- A community of like-minded entrepreneurs
- Use of free insights and data-driven tools for guidance on knowing where to sell, when to sell, and at what price
- Opportunity to explore free promotional tools to create ads to boost sales
Targeting “sneaker enthusiasts, hustlers and go getters”, successful applicants will have a free shopfront on eBay for six months - combined with zero selling fees – one-on-one support from a dedicated eBay expert and other mentors, and an opportunity to apply for cash grants to help build the business.
