Coach flexes its pop culture appeal with Lil Nas X partnership

Coach continues to tap into pop culture with its latest ‘The Lil Nas X Drop’, a capsule collection featuring pieces designed by the luxury fashion brand and curated by Lil Nas X.

This marks the pair's second collaboration, following the Coach campaign ‘In My Tabby', which launched in March and featured the rapper front and centre.

The new edit includes pieces from the Winter 2023 collection, hand-picked and customised by the superstar. Each piece has been inspired by the artist’s expressive approach to style and sense of colour appreciation.

The Gen-Z-coded Winter 2023 collection is made up of American archetypical silhouettes such as varsity and leather jackets juxtaposed with oversized tees, sweatshirts and bags. The range is brought to life with electric graphics that evoke rave culture and an archival Bonnie Cashin leopard print recontextualised for today's wearer.

Coach's Creative Director, Stuart Vevers, worked with the artist to select and customise his favourite pieces. This includes shearling coats in pop colours, graphics inspired by concert merchandise and an American varsity jacket featuring personalised Lil Nas X patches.

Vevers commented: "Our Winter collection is inspired by my belief that fashion is about exploring and celebrating all of who you are.

"To create the collection, we twisted the Coach archives and were also inspired by Lil Nas X’s connection to music and nightlife. We evolved heritage styles introduced on the runway last season by amplifying colour, texture and graphics to create pieces that celebrate our love for individuality and authentic self-expression that we share."

The campaign launched today, followed by the collection, which will be available online from 27 December.
