British duo Phase Eight and Hobbs sign at Scotland's Caledonia Park

Sister brands, Phase Eight and Hobbs, are continuing their expansion across UK shopping centres, this time opening at Scotland’s Caledonia Park.

Railpen, one of the largest pension managers in the UK, has announced the signing of the TFG brands at Scotland’s premium designer outlet village. The dup are next in line to join the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and Kate Spade.

Phase Eight and Hobbs will be sharing a 3,035 sq ft unit, which is set to open in Q4 of 2023. The new store will mark Hobbs’ first Scottish outlet and Phase Eight’s second. It will be home to ‘the best of British design’, including tailored and contemporary occasionwear, shoes and, of course, accessories.

Caraline Money, Global Group Retail Director at TFG Brands, commented: "Hobbs’ and Phase Eight’s signing at Caledonia Park is a key, strategic moment for the brands as it signifies not only our first outlet store for Hobbs in Scotland but enables us to enhance our presence nationwide and engage with a new customer base, previously untapped."

The signings support the brand’s retail expansion strategy, which plans to increase its physical presence with bigger and better stores in premium shopping destinations. Last month, the duo announced the plans to relocate and upsize their existing Merry Hill stores. Now they are situated together in a new 6,000 sq ft retail unit.

Earlier this year, Phase Eight also opened the first of its new flagship stores at Centre:mk, one of the top 10 shopping centres in the UK.
