‘Best of British’ Campaign Unveiled at Bicester Village

Bicester Village, the luxury outlet shopping destination outside London — and owned by international experts Value Retail — recently launched a six-week ‘Best of British’ campaign. The event was celebrated in style with the opening of their annual and very successful British Designers’ Collective, a pop-up store in which emerging British designers can retail their collections alongside some of the biggest fashion brands. Bicester Village has long been a champion of young, homegrown designers thanks to its running collaboration with the CEO of British Fashion Council, Caroline Rush.

Now in its 6th year, the British Designers' Collective has been curated by no other than Industry member and fashion guru Yasmin Sewell, who was present at the launch. British actress Gemma Arterton was also there as ambassador of the project as well as fashion designers Henry Holland, Eudon Choi (who is a member), J. JS Lee, Holly Fulton and Value Retail management Désirée Bollier.

Gemma Arterton, who greeted guests in a lilac Roksanda Illincic shift dress commented on the importance of championing British talent, 'We've been so lucky in the UK to have so many wonderful designers and to have them all under one roof is brilliant for people who maybe don't have the opportunity to buy these pieces usually. I cant wait to just go and nab all the good stuff! I'm very excited to support British work, it's something that I'm very passionate about.'

The British Designers' Collective will sell pieces from a multitude of British talent such as Peter Pilotto, Roksanda Illincic, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Nicholas Kirkwood, Sophia Webster, Mary Katranzou, Industry members Jonathan Saunders and Eudon Choi, Holly Fulton and many more for the next few weeks.
