ASOS names former VF Corp director as Chair of ESG Committee

ASOS has appointed Anna Maria Rugarli as its latest Non-Executive Director and Chair of the ESG Committee.

Rugarli has over twenty years of experience working with leaders in global apparel, including Nike and VF Corporation.

In particular, she specialises in creating strategies to address environmental and social challenges faced by the industry today, as well as providing end-to-end oversight through implementation and roll-out.

She currently serves as a Board Member at Prada Group and Japan Tobacco International. 

Jørgen Lindemann, Chairman at ASOS, said: "Anna Maria joins us with a wealth of ESG experience from some of the biggest brands in global apparel.

"The board will greatly benefit from her expertise and we look forward to working closely with her."

Last month, ASOS launched a partnership with affordable rental platform Hirestreet - supporting the brand's goal to "be more circular".

This allows Hirestreet customers to shop an edit of over 180 ASOS womenswear pieces, which are "focused on women’s occasionwear dressing".
