YNAP appoints Emma Mortimer as MD at The Outnet

Yoox Net-A-Porter Group (YNAP) has appointed Emma Mortimer to the new role of managing director of its off-price business The Outnet. The move marks a return to the group for Mortimer who worked at the Net-A-Porter group for six years until 2015 as global director of studio production and customer care and interim head of The Outnet.

In the new role Mortimer will report to YNAP president of off-season Alessandra Rossi – who took up her role just over a year ago which involves heading up both Yoox and The Outnet – and will oversee the buying, merchandising, sales, marketing and creative teams.

Since leaving the group Mortimer has worked as a consultant for luxury multichannel retailer Matchesfashion.com and helped with the launch of luxury modest fashion ecommerce business The Modist; she was also a fashion specialist for the Department for International Trade.

“With her broad business knowledge across luxury e-commerce and her extensive expertise in customer experience, she is the ideal candidate to drive the international growth of The Outnet, enabled by our new technology and logistics platform,” said Rossi of Mortimer’s appointment.
