Fashion and lifestyle retailer Wild Swans signed a lease at Islington Square’s retail space, bringing the scheme to 92% let.

The Scandinavian womenswear designer and homeware retailer is relocating its existing store on Upper Street to a new 4,247 sq ft space at Islington Square. This is the second of the brand’s brick-and-mortar stores, alongside a space in Chiswick, West London. It will offer Wild Swan’s full range of fashion, lifestyle, homeware, accessories, and bags, all sporting the Scandinavian aesthetic.

Caroline Van Luthje, Owner of Wild Swans, commented: “Relocating to Islington Square is enabling us to continue to grow our business and become part of an even stronger community of brands and customers. With Islington offering a vibrant nearby population keen to shop local, coupled with being an attractive draw for people from across London and tourists visiting, our new space will cater to an even wider selection of customers keen to explore premium Scandinavian fashion.”

The new space is let by the privately held investment firm Cain International, which focuses on real estate and business opportunities. It currently manages over £12.1 billion ($14 billion) in assets through its real estate equity, real estate debt, and private equity platforms.

The retailer will be situated in Cain’s Islington Square shopping centre, which offers dining, leisure, residents, and workspaces, housing the likes of Anthropologie, Borough Kitchen, Prezzo and an ODEON Luxe cinema

Neil Barber, Retail Leasing Director at Cain International, added: “Islington Square is a destination for people seeking brilliant brands in an interesting setting, as well as a space for the community to come together, and we are confident retailers such as Wild Swans… will add to the world-class experience for our guests.”

Wild Swans is on track to open ahead of December 2022.
