UGG presents limited edition colour-shifting trainers
Ugg has continued its 12X12 collection with the launch of the CA805 x Thermal trainers, created with heat-sensitive material that changes colour depending on the temperature.
The new shoes pay homage to the brand's Californian roots and Silicon Valley, renowned for its many high-tech companies.
The 12X12 collection is being progressively revealed in a series of 12 drops, one pair per month throughout 2020, with the UGG brand highlighting a different aspects of California each month, to celebrate the American state.
The new CA805 x Thermal trainers are inspired by surveillance cameras and distinguished by the use of a heat-sensitive fabric.
Available in two styles, at different temperatures between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius, the trainers change colour to reveal alternative looks.
They are the latest addition to a collection which has already featured fake-fur covered CA805 x 2020s, CA805 x Valentines which celebrate street art in Los Angeles, and CA805 x Cedars that pay homage to the landscapes of Yosemite National Park.
The global brand has notably become increasingly popular across the Japanese footwear market after a number of key collaborations with the likes of Eckhaus Latta, Rocky Mountain and Featherbed.
The collection is available in limited quantities across select retailers globally, including Ugg.
