True, the retail and consumer specialist investment and innovation firm, has announced a collaboration with the British Retail Consortium that will allow its members to access cutting-edge technology and foster innovation through True's expertise and network.

The partnership aims to help retailers make the right choices about the technologies that will drive their businesses forward and to answer this True has developed a new offering, called Amplify.

Amplify provides retail brands with "a shortcut to technology that is proven to work". It is powered by True’s expertise and experience from investing in and growing technology start-up businesses, its deep sector research, and technology successes with its corporate partners in the retail industry.

True has invested in and helped to build numerous brands including well-known fashion and beauty brands, such as Hush and Warpaint, fulfilment platform Huboo and wellness in the workplace platform Unmind. It also collaborates with industry giants such as Marks & Spencer and Johnson & Johnson.

True co-founder and executive chair Matt Truman said: "Our focus is on democratising access to technology innovation for retail and consumer businesses – helping winning tech to travel farther and wider. By joining forces with the BRC, we aim to facilitate greater collaboration between consumer brands, retailers, and technologies. The BRC is a force for positive change, and we are thrilled to be able to help to provide value to its members."

British Retail Consortium CEO Helen Dickinson added: “Our partnership with True aligns perfectly with the BRC's purpose of making a positive difference to the industry and our goal to help our members maximise the opportunities presented by digital transformation. It paves the way for greater access to proven tech that will help accelerate that transformation and empower our member businesses."
