Tom Ford to launch men's underwear line

Tom Ford International is branching out into men's underwear having signed a partnership agreement with garment manufacturer and distributor Albisetti International.

Details of pricing and and product range have not yet been released but the designer says the line will be "tightly distributed" and available in Tom Ford stores, at Tomford.com, at select distribution partners, department stores and online retailers.

Ford said the move was a natural progression for his brand, which includes men's and women's ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, eyewear, beauty and fragrance.

"[This] comes at a time when the Tom Ford brand has become firmly established worldwide as a leader in men's fashion," he said. "Albisetti International is the perfect partner for this venture as their dedication to excellence and  the highest quality product is impressive and their strong family work ethic makes them a perfect fit as our partners."

Swiss-based Albisetti produces a range of garments from ready-to-wear to activewear and accessories for some of the world's leading brands including Armani, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Ralph Lauren to name a few.
