Source Fashion announces LFW designer Patrick McDowell as keynote speaker

Source Fashion, which takes place at Olympia London on 18-20 February 2024 – connecting international manufacturers and suppliers with UK brands - has announced designer Patrick McDowell as its keynote speaker.

McDowell will be in conversation with fashion stylist Rebekah Roy at 2pm on Sunday 18 February, the day after his evening ‘Patrick McDowell x Guildhall School of Music and Drama’ fashion show and party for London Fashion Week.

McDowell, who showcased his debut collection at LFW in 2018 after graduating from Central Saint Martins, has built his reputation on "reinventing luxury through a sustainable mindset".

For SS24, he teamed up with heritage denim brand Lee on a collection of garments crafted from recycled and deadstock denim, which was showcased at LFW in September 2023.

Suzanne Ellingham, Director of Sourcing at Source Fashion, said: "I have followed Patrick’s work since his debut in 2018, and when we launched Source Fashion I knew that he would be the perfect keynote.

"Creating made-to-order pieces in limited quantities using reclaimed fabrics, ethically produced materials as well as trying to maintain a low carbon footprint with all the designs, is no mean feat on the world stage. I can’t wait to hear him talk about his journey and vision for sustainability in fashion."

The Source Fashion content programme will also include catwalk shows featuring McDowell’s latest designs, as well as seminars led by industry professionals and informative panel discussions presenting and discussing the latest trends, innovations and topics in responsible and sustainable manufacturing.
