Scottish luxury boutique Oliami purchases rival Pampas

Luxury fashion boutique Oliami, located in the Scottish town of Auchterarder, has acquired rival Glasgow-based retailer Pampas.

Located in the West End of Glasgow, the womenswear retailer Pampas has been a cornerstone of Glasgow's fashion scene since the '90s. Now, after 35 years on the high street, the retailer is in the hands of new owners.

Pampas, now owned by Oliami, has been closed since 20 January for a week while it undergoes a curated refurbishment and will reopen as the new 'Pampas by Oliami' at the end of this month.

The new co-branded store will include collections from Herno, Harris Wharf, Rotate, Remain by Birger Christensen, Begg & Co. and Hawico.

It will also be home to BearCo, a collection produced in Scotland by Alexander Manufacturing, part of Oliami Founder Nadia Alexander’s portfolio.

Nadia Alexander commented: "This acquisition is more than an expansion – it’s a deepening of our devotion to Scottish craftsmanship, sustainability, and fashion.

"We’re not just acquiring a store; we’re embracing a brilliant legacy built over many years that aligns perfectly with our passion and vision for creating modern luxury that values people and the environment.

"It’s an important time for Alexander Manufacturing as we bring the best of Scotland’s fashion to a broader audience, ensuring the entire value chain reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community."

Alexander named her first boutique Oliami after her daughters. The business, which opened its doors in 2020, aimed to create a collection that would "redefine the style expectations of her clientele in the Scottish Highlands". With this new acquisition, the company is broadening its luxury horizons across Scotland.
