Scamp & Dude achieves B Corp certification

British fashion brand Scamp & Dude has achieved B Corp certification, signalling a shift towards greater accountability and transparency in the industry.  

Administered by nonprofit B Lab, B Corp is a certification that evaluates a brand's social and environmental impact.

It covers over 300 questions on governance, workers, communities and impact on the environment.

In its assessment, Scamp & Dude achieved an overall score of 103.5. To qualify as a B Corp, businesses must score 80 or over. Meanwhile, the fashion industry average is 80.9.

Scamp & Dude's achievements so far include:

  • Over £1.75 million in cash donations and Scamp & Dude products.
  • 33,000 Super Scarves and 6,900 Superhero Sleep Buddies donated to those in need.
  • 84% of loungewear made with organic cotton.
  • 80% of dresses made with sustainable materials or wash processes.
  • 44 litres of water saved per pair of jeans made, versus the industry standard.

The brand joins the B Corp movement of over 7,600 companies globally, including fashion brands FatFace, Thrift+, Berghaus, TOMS, Pangaia, Ganni and Allbirds
