Rental platforms My Wardrobe HQ and Rotaro consolidate stock to widen choice for customers
My Wardrobe HQ, the leading fashion rental marketplace, has announced a collaboration with Gen Z-focused fashion rental website Rotaro, which centres around the consolidation of stock offered from the two rental platforms.
The move increases the amount of brand and individual vendor-owned and stock available on My Wardrobe HQ, creating the ultimate 'closet in the cloud’ for the UK consumer.
Co-founded by entrepreneur Sacha Newall in 2018, My Wardrobe HQ (MWHQ) is one of a number of pioneering rental platforms in the UK. Its platform offers designs to rent from a wide range of brands including Burberry, Beulah, Tommy Hilfiger and more. It also powers rental services on behalf of major brands, including Jigsaw, and has a dedicated rental space within Harrods.
Rotaro meanwhile was co-founded by Georgie Hyatt in 2019 and specialises in cult premium brands for a younger consumer, such as ROTATE Birger Christensen, GANNI, The Vampire’s Wife, Jacquemus and Hai. It has previously staged pop-up retail experiences on Carnaby Street and within Liberty.
Speaking of the collaboration, My Wardrobe HQ's Newall said: “The consolidation with ROTARO was a great opportunity for the business- MWHQ has fantastic relationships with a large number of UK designers, including Vivienne Westwood and Burberry, and the merger with ROTARO now offers an extended product range to include new-generation designers who share our principles of sustainability, quality and craftsmanship. High-end fashion rental is a relatively new concept in the UK arena and this collaboration marries the core MWHQ customer base of ABC1 30+ market with the younger, ultra-fashion forward audience that ROTARO has grown successfully over the last few years.”
Rotaro's Hyatt added: “I’m delighted with this consolidation, it allows our customers and designers to connect to one another through renting. I’m a huge believer in the future of circular fashion so I look forward to seeing how our initial success flourishes with MWHQ”.
