Heritage Australian footwear and clothing brand R.M. Williams has released a limited-edition range of licensed apparel, accessories and boots in partnership with Rugby Australia.

The launch comes ahead of the Australia national rugby team, known as the Wallabies, taking part in the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France – which starts on 8 September.

R.M. Williams signed a multi-year partnership with Rugby Australia in September 2022, and this is the very latest “fan gear” to come out of the union.

The collection draws inspiration from both Wallabies uniforms and R.M. Williams from the 1990s, and includes rugby jerseys, caps, knitted socks, hats and beanies, and limited-editions of the brand’s bestselling ‘Comfort Craftsman’ and ‘Lady Yearling’ boots.

Each apparel piece has been crafted from either Woolmark-certified extra fine Merino wool or breathable organic cotton.

Brought to life in vibrant shades of gold, chestnut brown and blue, the designs also feature a woven patch which incorporates the classic R.M. Williams longhorn logo with the year the company was founded, 1932, and RMW – the founder Reginald Murray Williams’ initials, combined with the Wallabies logo.

Paul Grosmann, CEO of R.M. Williams, said: “We’re so pleased to see this next chapter of our partnership with Rugby Australia come to life, particularly in the form of a collection that celebrates a great Australian union.

“It will be a source of great pride to see fans donning their R.M. Williams x Wallabies kit, particularly as we prepare to cheer Australia on in France.”

The accompanying campaign features a line-up of Australian rugby legends, including former players George Smith, Phil Waugh, Stirling Mortlock, Mark Ella, Nick Farr-Jones and David Campese – photographed in the collaboration rugby jerseys.

The full collection is now available on the R.M. Williams website. Retail prices range from £25 for a pair of socks to £419 for a pair of boots.
