PrimaLoft promotes newly appointed President to CEO

Compass Diversified has announced that Anne Cavassa will be stepping into the role of CEO of PrimaLoft Inc., after only recently being appointed President, effective 1 January 2024.

PrimaLoft is a leader in advanced material technology, producing sustainable synthetic insulation products. Partnering with world-leading retailers, such as Everlane and Oysho, it creates insulating jackets for the cold.

Former president and CEO, Mike Joyce, will retire at the end of the year after leading Primaloft for 11 years. He will assume the role of Vice Chair on PrimaLoft’s Board of Directors.

When Cavassa was hired as President on 7 November, no mention was made of Joyce’s pending retirement. The release read: "Joyce will continue to lead the company as CEO, focusing on long-term strategic activities and direction. Cavassa will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations, and the two will collaborate closely to advance the company’s growth."

Cavassa brings three decades of experience in strategic leadership roles at several of America’s most esteemed outdoor and active brands.

Most recently, she held tenure as President at Saucony. Prior to this, she held pivotal leadership positions at Timberland, Nike, Reebok, Tommy Bahama, and Eddie Bauer.
