Pretty Little Thing submits plans for new HQ in Manchester

Pretty Little Thing, the fast-growing online fashion brand which forms part of the Boohoo group, has submitted plans to convert a vacant building in the north east of Manchester into a new headquarters.

The business wants to convert the Ancoats Works building, which has been empty since 2016, into its new head office where it would house 250 staff.

Ancoats Works was previously occupied Springbank Flowers, which vacated the premises in 2016, and prior to that it had been home to Boohoo itself.

Pretty Little Thing was founded by Adam and Umar Kamani in 2012 and it was acquired by their father Mahmud Kamani's business, Boohoo, in 2017.

The new headquarters would include 65,000 sq ft of office space, 74 parking spaces, meeting rooms, a conference and theatre facility, as well as a restaurant, gym and central staircase.

Ancoats Works is owned by Kamani Property Group and Pretty Little Thing has been advised on the design of the proposed new HQ by Jenkins Design Services.

Last year the brand opened a US HQ and influencer lounge on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
